About the Home for Cooperation (H4C):
The Home for Cooperation is a unique community center located in the heart of Nicosia. It is the embodiment of intercommunal cooperation, contributing to the collective efforts of civil society in their engagement with peacebuilding and intercultural dialogue. Using its sources it encourages people to cooperate with each other beyond constraints and dividing lines.
The Home for Cooperation essentially aims to act as a bridge-builder between separated communities, memories and visions. It provides working spaces and opportunities for Non-Governmental Organisations and individuals to design and implement innovative projects.
Today the Home has become a landmark building within the Ledra Palace crossing, UN buffer zone. It facilitates situations for people to get together and to get to know each other. The home hosts an extensive variety of cultural, artistic and educational programs with the aim to foster creativity and intercultural trust in Cyprus and internationally.

About the Buffer Fringe:

The Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival (BFPAF) is an annual performing arts festival, started in 2014, which spans the Buffer Zone in Nicosia, as well as venues in the North and South of the city. The Buffer Fringe invites artists both local and international to showcase new and experimental work, which pushes the boundaries and challenges preconceived notions about the performing arts, and the relationship between the performer and audience. In this way, the performances call into question dominant narratives of history, culture, division, and identity, and brings artists together from all walks of life in a celebratory spirit of multiculturalism and peaceful coexistence.  Taking place in a divided country, Buffer Fringe Festival assumes more responsibilities than an arts festival taking place elsewhere. It is one of a kind in Cyprus and the world.
